Art

Team Building

To support the transition into our new classroom dynamic, we have been team building within our new class teams Towneley, Thompson, Scott and Queens. We enjoyed performing tasks that required us to listen carefully to instructions and work as a team. 

Science

In Science, we have read the story of the Three Little Pigs and have been exploring the best materials to use to build a house. We have investigated which material is best to build with as well as looking at the best adhesives to use to join materials together. We have performed STEM activities where we have worked together in pairs to build structures out of straws or sticks and find ways to make our paper bridges stronger. 

RE 

In RE, we have discussed the importance of Harvest and how we can help people less fortunate during the season of Harvest. We have also explored how Jewish people celebrate Harvest and we created our own Sukkah which Jewish people build during their Harvest festival of 'Sukkot'. 

Geography

In Geography, we have been looking at the weather during different seasons in the UK. We have completed weather diaries during the current season of Autumn. We enjoyed watching the weather forecast and we all had a go at being weather reporters. We have found out about how the weather is different in different places around the world, including places on the Equator and in the Polar regions.
