Brockholes Trip
After having our first trip postponed due to stormy weather, we were delighted to finally get to Brockholes. We found the journey on a coach exciting enough and loved all the woodland and wildlife we saw there. We enjoyed lots of fun activities including guess the tree, leaf printing, sculpting clay faces, berry dying and making potions. We hope we can go back in the future!

Great Explorers Workshop
What a treat we had this morning! To support our work on Explorers we had a visit from Amelia Earhart. She told us all about her achievements and we learnt about Christopher Columbus through the medium of drama. We worked in pairs to create the shape of objects from the new world, re-enacted the journey to the moon and lots of other imaginative activities. We had great fun and learnt lots too!

Skipton Castle
Elm Class had a fabulous trip to Skipton Castle. We enjoyed our journey with an extremely knowledgeable coach driver. Once we had arrived, we learnt all about the history of the castle. Being trapped in the dungeon was our favourite part! After we had our dinner, there was a chance to explore and play in the castle grounds. We had an amazing day, and all the children were fabulous representatives for St James, their behaviour was impeccable!
